Nobody wants sad, soggy roots, and keeping your pot plants happy means making sure excess water has somewhere to go. Outdoor plant pots usually have drainage holes to solve this problem, but they need to sit on pot ‘feet’ or pebbles to let the water escape properly.  

However, with indoor plants, things get trickier because you don’t want water draining all over your floor! One genius hack is to keep your plant in the plastic pot it came in and place it inside your decorative pot but with a twist. Balance it on a few Lego bricks inside your pot for indoor plants! This creates space for water to drain away from the roots and through the flower pot while keeping your plant from sitting in the puddle. Plus, it’s a great excuse to dig through your old Lego stash. While terms are often used interchangeably, there IS a difference. They’re built to withstand the elements and give your outdoor greenery plenty of space to thrive. So, if you are shopping for your indoor jungle, you need a plant pot. But if you need something bigger for your patio or garden, a planter is your go-to!

A tall vase is a statement piece in itself, so the trick is to complement its height with equally elegant and elongated stems. Think tall, slender blooms like lilies, snapdragons or gladiolus, which create a beautifully balanced and graceful arrangement. If you prefer something more sculptural, branches like eucalyptus add a natural feel, while dried pampas or palm leaves bring a soft look that works in both modern and boho interiors.
