Our Story

Picture the scene, it's 2007, friends Lucy and Jane are visiting Lanzarote along with their brood of kids. Between them they had 5 children under 8 years. It was a last minute bargain holiday that seemed like a good idea at the time but the weather was freezing and the hotel had seen better days to say the least. They did have a cheesy show every night which the kids liked and the barman free poured drinks which Jane & Lucy liked. So it wasn't all bad. It was on this holiday one chilly day by the pool that Lucy and Jane came up with the idea for Rockett St George.

Their friendship was built on a mutual love of antique shops, flea markets and car boot sales, re-arranging the furniture in their homes and continually re-decorating. They both loved to express their creativity through their interiors. Add to this their need to earn money, the two came up with the plan for an online homeware store that enables people to break free from chain store offerings providing more unique options.

Their purpose was and still is, to inspire creativity and personal expression through interiors.

Jane's skills in PR and photography and Lucy's extensive experience in retail created the perfect pairing. And so, they combined their savings, bought a 'Website for Dummies' book... and Rockett St George was born!

Their passion project has grown beyond their wildest dreams into the established well known brand it is today.

Fast forward fifteen years later and their online interiors shop is now driven by a fabulous team of over 50 people, with 5 warehouses, 2500 products (including our own-design India and Marrakesh products), an award-winning blog and two interior design books: Extraordinary Interiors and Extraordinary Interiors in Colour.

Always growing in their goal to empower customers to fill their homes with wild wonder and personality, in 2024, Jane and Lucy steered Rockett St George into a new era by partnering with leading UK retailer NEXT. Designed by Jane & Lucy in partnership with NEXT, the debut of this collaboration revealed a collection of unapologetically bold and quirky homeware, followed by our first foray into fashion, with nightwear, swimwear and accessories. Capturing Jane & Lucy’s unique signature style and flair for fun, the full collaboration is available to shop on NEXT, online and in selected stores.

After the success of the initial capsule collections, with many sell-out designs, our partnership with NEXT is growing, and Jane, Lucy and the RSG team continue to work hard behind the scenes to bring more of what you love about Rockett St George to our ongoing collaboration with NEXT.

It has been a hugely exciting adventure for us and although we have grown beyond our wildest dreams, we are still guided by our original purpose - to revitalise the interiors market with unique treasures, oddities, and curiosities. Our homes are our sanctuaries and it's a place to escape, restore and spend time with our favourite people and so it's incredibly important to us to help others create a home that is uniquely personal to them.

To this day, we continue to treasure hunt across the world in search of unique, glamorous, eclectic, witty and rock 'n' roll home accessories, furniture, lighting, kitchenware, art and gifts that you cannot find elsewhere.
