5 Ideas For Your Easter Table Decor
Easter is a great excuse to get creative in the kitchen.
Part of creating fun at Easter is the delicious home-baked goodies you can rustle up in the kitchen. Even small details with an easter-twist can add a sense of enjoyment to the occasion. Of course, at Rockett St George we are always up for a styling challenge. So first up is our creative napkin folding idea - with an Easter twist! And we have also come up with our Top Ideas for creating a magical Easter Table Setting. Keep on reading to discover more.
Easter Table Setting Idea #1 - Easter Bunny Napkin Folding
Get creative with your napkin folding.
Delight yourself with your amazing napkin folding techniques! Really easy to do, we've come up with a bunny rabbit folding idea for you to create for your Easter table.
You will need:
- Enough napkins for each person at the table (even paper napkins will work).
- A reel of ribbon.
- 1 x egg per person. We painted our egg gold, so why not try something similar? Alternatively, use a chocolate egg instead for an edible surprise!
Easter Bunny Napkin Folding Method:
- Lay Your napkin flat and fold it into a triangle.
- Starting at the long edge roll the napkin.
- Once rolled, fold the two edges upwards, cross them and place a boiled or chocolate egg in the centre.
- Tie the folded edges together using beautiful ribbon... et voila! A beautiful Easter Bunny Origami Napkin!
Easter Table Setting Idea #2 - Textural Adornments
Variations in textures help to create an intimate, cosy and inviting atmosphere. So, whether you are planning to dine al fresco in your garden this easter or inside your home adorn your space with plenty of textures! From beautiful tablecloths or quirky placemats, to rugs on the floors or sheepskins on the backs of chairs and cosy cushions too these textures are the backdrop for your tablescape. Not forgetting, of course, that the table textures are great for setting a theme for your table display.
Easter Table Setting Idea #3 - Centrepiece
Build your easter table setting from the centre outwards. Starting with your centrepiece to layer your table with textures, patterns and objects of varying heights to create drama and interest. It’s a well-established interior design trick that will create an instant focal point on your table. Some of our favourite easter table decor ideas include the Silver Salt & Pepper Rabbits, Bunny Trinket Bowl, Black & Gold Hen Egg Holder and the Eat Me Fine China Plate.
If you are short on space then why not hang your centrepiece over your table instead? A floral hanging centrepiece or hanging lantern looks so incredibly impactful and will certainly create a sense of occasion.
Easter Table Setting Idea #4 - Be Creative and Quirky
Product Featured: Lazy Rabbit Cupcake Plate £12.00Express yourself! Great interior design is always down to plenty of personality, creativity and imagination. So, don’t be afraid to express yourself in your home. For a table setting, we’d recommend adding a quirky decorative ornament or display piece the makes you smile. We particularly love animal vases such as our Cute Cheetah Vase or the Beautiful Bear Vase filled with greenery as they will really stand out on your table display.
Add some fresh spring flowers, such as daffodils, and fill your vases with the beautiful florals. The fresh spring scents will help to set the scene. Then stack Lazy Rabbit Cake Plates with baked goodies and easter eggs for an extra special display.
Easter Table Setting Idea #5 - Great Lighting
Great lighting will also help to set the tone for your Easter meal, so it's important to consider what light sources you want to use when decorating your table. In our opinion, candlelight is queen for creating a warm, intimate and glowing space. The flickering light is like a real-life filter, so get your hands on lots of different sized and shaped candles, such as scented candles, pillar candles and dinner candles. To add an extra layer of depth and interest to your Easter table display, beautiful tealights and quirky candleholders will add that extra magic to the table. We think that our new Ceramic & Brass Cockatoo Candle Holder would make a great choice.
Finally, an easier option would be to string some fairy lights around your centrepiece or weave the chain down the centre of the table.
